Swedish SAS crew call off strike

The union representing Swedish cabin crew staff for SAS AB—HTF—said it has withdrawn its strike threat after reaching an agreement with the airline management. ‘Our members were prepared to strike but we made another decision. We just did not feel we could do it against the backdrop of the improvements we managed to get,’ HTF said in a statement.

Details of the agreement were not disclosed, but HTF demands had included a 30-minute meal allowance after 5 hours flying time, and 14 hours of downtime if cabin crew work more than 10.5 hours in a row.
