Shangri-La’s Rasa Sayang re-opens

Shangri-La’s Rasa Sayang Resort and Spa, Penang has re-opened for business following a £14 million rennovation.

Shangri-La’s Rasa Sayang Resort first opened in November 1973 comprising
514 guest rooms and suites and underwent a major redevelopment and
repositioning programme from December 1, 2004. The resort was closed for 20
months to facilitate the rennovation project.

The new Rasa Sayang Resort and Spa presently houses 304 guest rooms and
suites in the Rasa Wing and Garden Wing. All facilities and services are
fully operational, including guest rooms, restaurants and bars, meetings &
conference facilities, beauty salon, health club & gym, swimming pools and
the new Par-3 (nine-hole) executive golf course.  The opening of the resort
also marks the introduction of “CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La” comprising a
dedicated pool and specialist café serving CHI cuisine, plus11 private
treatment suites and villas.
