Press: SAS, Olafsson vie for Icelandair

Both SAS and Icelandic investor Olafur Olafsson are in the frame to buy Icelandair, daily Boersen in Denmark reported without citing sources. SAS told the daily that there are ‘no concrete negotiations with FL Group’, though it did not deny being interested in Icelandair.

FL Group has previously said that in the preparation of listing Icelandair, several possible buyers have emerged for either parts of the carrier or the entire group, according to the daily.

A listing therefore seems less likely now, it added.

Yesterday, the Financial Times reported that FL Group is close to selling Icelandair to Olafsson in a deal worth 350-500 mln stg.
