Amadeus appoints airline boss

Amadeus is appointing Arnaud Debuchy, as the new Director for its Airline Business Group (ABG), responsible for airline account management and sales in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America (EMEA and LA).

In his new role, Debuchy’s key objective is to drive the commercial relationship between Amadeus and its airline customers in these regions. Beyond distribution, this will include a reinforcement of Amadeus strategy to provide airlines with industry-leading technology solutions for customer and business management.

Debuchy moves in to his new role from the position of Director, Amadeus Travel Intelligence Unit, a post he has held since 2004. Previously, he was Managing Director of Amadeus UK and Ireland, where amongst his many achievements in a tough and dynamic market, he helped triple Amadeus’ local market share to over 20 per cent in just three years. Debuchy is taking over from David Doctor who will now remain fully dedicated to leading Amadeus’ airline distribution and low cost carrier business units.

Arnaud Debuchy joined Amadeus in 1995. Prior to this, he held a number of roles in the aerospace and software development industries in France and the United States. He holds various graduate degrees in Aerospace Engineering from ENSAE, France, the Universite Paul Sabatier, France, the University of California, Berkeley, USA and subsequently gained an MBA from INSEAD, France.
