Flybe starts flights to Nice

Low cost airline releases summer schedule early due to high customer demand

Flybe, one of Europe’s leading low-cost airlines, today launches part of its 2007
summer schedule offering a mixture of popular sunshine and domestic routes. The move
will also see the airline open a key route into Nice, the heart of the French
Riviera and the playground of the rich and famous. The success of last year’s summer
routes prompted the early release of the schedule with tickets for all services
going on sale from today.

With key routes to tourist resorts and city break destinations from regional
airports across the UK, the programme provides travellers with convenient links to
the UK and abroad without having to travel via London - a cause championed by Flybe,
bringing convenient, low-cost travel to the regions.

Flybe’s summer timetable sees a major move into the French market with the start of
a brand new route to the tourist haven of Nice in March 2006 from Southampton. This
latest move is of high strategic importance to the airline as it continues to push
its boundaries and grow across Europe. Flybe has also recently announced new
services from Southampton to Galway and Belfast to Inverness.

Due to the success of last years summer schedule, Flybe is releasing seats for its
summer schedule early enabling passengers from Exeter, Southampton, Norwich,
Guernsey and Jersey to book their summer flights early and get themselves a bargain.

Guernsey and Jersey will also be opening early for bookings to Birmingham, Exeter,
Southampton, Jersey and London Gatwick.  The move reaffirms the airline’s dedication
to these key bases as well as showing its commitment to bases in Spain and Portugal
and offering more choice and cheaper fares from regional airports.

Mike Rutter, Chief Commercial Officer, Flybe comments: “The announcement of a new
base in Nice is one of our most important new schedule announcements to date,
demonstrating our aggressive expansion policy in the UK and across Europe. Flybe
already boasts the highest number of low cost services from the regions to France
and the new route to Nice shows us maintaining our commitment of low cost holiday
choice for customers. The move into one of the centres of the French tourism marks
an exciting point in Flybe’s history and shows our dedication to expand into other
territories across Europe.

“Furthermore, as result of the overwhelming customer demand, we are announcing the
early release of our summer schedule enabling customers to bag an early bargain for
summer 2007.

“We promised to increase our services and passenger numbers by expansion across the
UK and Europe and today’s announcement sees us delivering on this promise. The new
routes will continue to bring exceptional service, low-cost travel and exciting
destinations directly to people’s doorsteps whilst promoting the growth of regional
air travel across the UK.”
