VLM launches Groningen service
VLM Airlines, the carrier with the most flights from LondonCityAirport, will launch a service to the Dutch city of Groningen from30th October, 2006. The flight will operate each weekday, and on Sundays, fromLondonCityAirportwith a short stopover inAmsterdam.
With the start of the service, VLM Airlines will introduce an air link betweenLondonandGroningen, and enable both business and leisure passengers to reachNorthern HollandfromLondonin just 2?hours.

Flights will depart fromLondonCityat 1750, arriving in toGroningenat 2120. The return flight will depart fromGroningenat 0650, arriving atLondonCityon 0735 (all times local).

This new route is an integral part of the recent expansion in services by VLM Airlines. Earlier this month, it doubled the number of services it offers betweenLondonCityandAmsterdamfrom six to 12. The carrier has also announced that it will introduce a new direct route betweenManchesterandAntwerp, and increase the number it offers betweenLondonCityandAntwerp, from 30th October.
