Expedia teams up with United

Expedia, Inc. announced a new five-year, strategic partnership with United Airlines. All of United’s published fares, schedules and inventory will be available through Expedia.com and its affiliate sites to travelers worldwide.

The agreement enables United to benefit from Expedia’s online travel expertise, broad reach and targeted merchandising opportunities, and gives Expedia travelers greater access to United’s fares, schedules and inventory. United’s service to key U.S. domestic and global destinations throughout the Asia-Pacific, Europe and Latin American regions provides Expedia travelers an even greater selection of travel options.

“Our partnership with United embodies Expedia, Inc.‘s commitment to developing long-term, mutually beneficial and strategic relationships with our partners,” said Lloyd Johnson, senior vice president of Americas strategic accounts, Expedia, Inc. “The strength of United’s global network paired with Expedia’s global leadership in online travel ensure we continue to deliver superior service and value to our travelers worldwide.”

“Shopping online for air travel is popular among many of our customers and having United’s ticket services available on Expedia’s Web sites is a service our customers expect,” said Jeff Foland, vice president of North America Sales, United Airlines. “This renewed agreement with Expedia enables us to effectively meet our customers travel needs while allowing both of us to achieve our economic goals.”
