Jetstar will launch direct flights between
Honolulu and the Australian cities of Sydney and Melbourne.
Jetstar will operate 3 times weekly return services on the direct
Sydney-Honolulu route scheduled to commence from December 27, 2006, and 2
times weekly on Melbourne-Honolulu, a brand new Qantas Group service from
December 29, 2006.

Qantas will continue to operate Sydney-Honolulu services 3 times
weekly, which collectively will deliver over 3000 additional seats each
week by the Qantas Group on the Australia - Hawaii route.
  The five weekly Jetstar services from Australia to Honolulu are
incremental for the Qantas Group, and follows the exemption granted last
month by the United States Department of Transportation (DOT) for Jetstar
to market these flights.
