EOS expands schedule

8th Sep 2006

Eos has reported strong forward bookings for September flights.  Reservations are running 62% higher than the previous three month average as it prepares to expand to a double daily service to New York and London on September 8th.
“Our design and focus on making international business travel easier, more convenient, and comfortable is what drives the strong demand we see for our service,” said David Spurlock, founder of Eos Airlines. “With only 48 guests per flight, we can deliver the best on-time performance of any transatlantic service and offer superior speed and ease in getting through the airports. Now, with additional flight options, we’re furthering the flexibility and choice we provide our guests.”
The Eos model has shown greater end-to-end efficiency under the increased security procedures at UK and US airports, where Eos leads all transatlantic carriers in on time performance, and has not canceled a flight or lost a bag.  Eos curbside escorts assist departing and arriving guests through the airport, easing the process.
Starting Friday, Eos offers a choice of flights departing twice daily, six days per week (Sunday through Friday), from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and London Stansted Airport.  On Saturdays, Eos will operate one flight from each city.  The new Sunday-Friday schedule offers flights from New York at 7:15 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. EST, arriving in London the next morning at 7:40 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. GMT, respectively.  Flights from London depart at 10:40 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., arriving in New York at 1:25 p.m. and 9:45 p.m., respectively.  On Saturdays, Eos will depart New York at 7:15 p.m. and London at 10:40 a.m.
“JFK departures allow a full day in both cities, with the best full night’s sleep across the Atlantic following a gourmet meal in the departure lounge, while London Stansted departures uniquely maximize your daytime hours,” added Spurlock.  “The morning flight from London also allows you to hold a business meeting in the Eos Suite and arrive in New York mid-day, while the evening flight offers the option to relax and recharge at the end of a busy work day.”
To thank its guests and introduce its second flight, Eos is running special “GuestFest” promotions throughout the month of September, such as discounts on published Eos fares, special privileges at The Leading Hotels of The World, including room upgrades, gift certificates for use at Gordon Ramsey Restaurants, and gift set packages and discounts on men’s grooming items from John Allan.
