Galileo Leisure adds search tool

Galileo Leisure has implemented a new sightseeing search tool enabling agents to sell more pre-bookable excursions to their customers.

From the most popular trips, such as visiting the Eiffel Tower in Paris[1] to more unusual trips such as a Bangkok Jungle Bicycle tour2 or a camel ride to see the sunrise at Uluru (Ayers Rock)3, the content within the new categories includes over 5,000 different pre-bookable sightseeing opportunities in 403 locations and 82 countries.

A drop-down list with up to 39 newly created sightseeing categories, such as “Arts & Culture” and “Restaurants and Bars”, has been added to the website to make it faster for travel agents to find relevant trips and activities to sell alongside holiday bookings.

“With Galileo Leisure, it’s now easier than ever to both enhance customer service as well as earn more commission by adding a relevant sightseeing activity to a holiday booking,” said Alison Bell, vice president, Leisure Channel, Travelport.

“Whatever a customer might be looking for - whether it’s to pre-book a table in a popular restaurant or take that once in a lifetime helicopter ride, the new search tool enables travel agents to quickly find and offer a desirable activity.”

All sightseeing vouchers are bilingual - in both English as well as in the language of the booking - making it straightforward for customers to understand any instructions that they need to follow once in their destination.
As with all content booked on the website, the booking is integrated into a single booking file (PNR) saving on back-office time for Galileo connected agents.
