The Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) is launching a trade show at the upcoming 29th Annual Caribbean Tourism Conference (CTC-29) taking place Oct. 22-25, 2006 in The Bahamas. The tabletop display area will be open all day over the four days of the conference, putting exhibitors in direct contact with the hundreds of delegates attending CTC-29.
“The trade show is being organized to satisfy the numerous requests from suppliers who wish to reach government tourism executives, as well as the travel agent community and press,” said Hugh Riley, the CTO’s director of marketing for the Americas.
“CTC is the premier tourism information exchange and networking event in the Caribbean and the providers of goods and services to the industry see it as an ideal venue for exposure to the decision makers and other persons who play critical roles in the industry,” Riley noted. “By introducing the trade show, CTO is responding to the needs of a very important segment of our membership, while adding value to what we expect to be an excellent conference program.”
The CTC-29 Trade Show will be in the Ballroom Foyer of the Westin and Sheraton Our Lucaya Resort on Grand Bahama Island, the host hotel for the conference. It runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday Oct. 22; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday Oct. 23 and Tuesday Oct. 24; and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday Oct. 25. The formal opening will immediately precede to opening ceremony for CTC-29 on Sunday Oct. 22.
The CTO is offering exhibitors a number of special concessions, including discounts on registration for the conference.
