Aeromexico flies to Fort Lauderdale

Aeromexico announced it will launch daily non-stop service between Ft. Lauderdale and its Mexico City hub October 6, 2006, complementing its existing service from both Miami and Orlando to Mexico’s capital city. “We are very excited to expand our service to our third Florida gateway,” said Carlos De Uriarte, Aeromexico vice president of sales and marketing, U.S. Division.

“Our schedule is designed to provide excellent timing for business travelers and great connections for leisure travelers visiting Mexico’s beach and colonial destinations.”

Aeromexico’s daily flight is the only non-stop service between Ft. Lauderdale and Mexico City.

Aeromexico is offering a promotional fare of $353 roundtrip, plus taxes of the September 11 security fee of up to $110.

Tickets must be purchased and issued by September 20, 2006. The fare is available for travel from October 6 through December 9, 2006, with a maximum stay of 60 days. There is a $100 fee for changes to reservations with this fare and seats are limited.

The daily flight will depart Ft. Lauderdale at 7:30 a.m., arriving Mexico City at 9:55 a.m., allowing passengers to connect to more than 40 destinations in Mexico. The return flight from Mexico City will depart at 6:00 p.m., arriving in Ft. Lauderdale at 10:00 p.m.

Aeromexico operates four flights daily between Miami and Mexico City plus three weekly flights to Merida on the Yucatan Peninsula. It also offers eight weekly flights between Orlando and Mexico City.
