Qantas today announced an additional four return services each week between Adelaide and Perth. Qantas Executive General Manager John Borghetti said the services would provide an extra 650 seats in each direction each week, offering more opportunities for travel and further encouraging business and tourism between Western Australia and South Australia.
“We currently operate 27 return services between Adelaide and Perth each week, which will increase to 31 with four more non-stop flights from 29 October 2006”, Mr Borghetti said.
Mr Borghetti said the airline would add a 2.15pm departure from Adelaide on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays using two-class Boeing 737 aircraft.
The service will arrive in Perth at 3.05pm, with the return service departing at 3.50pm, arriving in Adelaide at 9.10pm.
“The additional services will provide customers with greater choice and flexibility and further boost travel between the two states.”
Qantas has also been nominated at this year’s World Travel Awards in the category of Australasia’s Leading Airline.
