Press: Ban on liquids remains on US flights

The U.S. will continue to ban liquids and gels from on board airliners, The Washington Post reports in its Thursday edition. Edmund S. “Kip” Hawley, administrator of the Transportation Security Administration, said there is no timetable for scaling back the restrictions, the Post said.

U.S. officials decided to restrict passengers from bringing liquids aboard planes following an alleged terror plot in the U.K. According to the Post, Hawley said no changes would be made until authorities had finished studying the plot and other potential threats.
