The Competitive Armenian Private Sector Project (CAPS), a USAID-Armenia funded initiative is organizing the first Trans-Caucasus Tourism Business to Business Forum in Tbilisi on October 7th at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel. The event is being organized in close association with the Madrid-based UN World Tourism Organization, the Armenian Tourism Development Agency, the Georgian State Department of Tourism and other partners throughout the region.
The Forum will bring together tour operators from the region to meet, make new business contacts and learn about tourism development and marketing opportunities. It is being organized as a complement to the UN World Tourism Organization Regional Conference on Tourism Communications (TOURCOM) for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, which is being held just before the B2B on October 5-6.
“By organizing a tourism B2B focused on the Trans-Caucasus region,” explained Alan Saffery, Senior Competitiveness Expert for CAPS, “we are aiming to help create and market more Caucasus region tour itineraries and cooperation. We see this as a key way to increase the international competitiveness of all destinations in the region.”
