InterConti, Pegasus expand partnership

InterContinental Hotels Group PLC (IHG) is selecting Pegasus Solutions to perform commission processing on behalf of IHG’s hotels to travel agents and distributors worldwide.

IHG is expanding its relationship with Pegasus for numerous reasons, including Pegasus’ thousands of member agencies around the world. Mike Martin, senior vice president of Distribution Operations and Technology for IHG, said: “Pegasus impressed us with the strong relationships it has built with travel agencies. Pegasus consolidates payments to member agencies, which reduces the number of payments each agency receives, improving IHG’s relationship with the agent community. IHG also benefits from Pegasus’ agency-friendly services such as direct deposit and payments in many local currencies.”

Martin continued: “For our thousands of hotels around the world, we like Pegasus’ Web-based TravelCom tool, which is very user-friendly for hoteliers to make updates regarding guest departures. This tool will help us improve the timeliness of commissions.”
