Le Meridien takes on Cairo airport hotel

Starwood and Airotel for Hotels & Tourism, announce the signing of a management agreement for the 350-key Le Meridien Cairo Airport, which will be developed at the airport’s new Terminal 3, currently under construction and scheduled to open in Jan 2009.
Starwood, who acquired the Le Meridien brand in Nov 2005, has announced aggressive plans for the brand’s expansion. Cairo International Airport is currently the second largest in Africa, and is the hub of Egypt Air.

Le Meridien Cairo Airport will boast 350 guest rooms, a main restaurant that will open 24-hours, a specialty restaurant, coffee bar, lobby bar, specialty lounge, ballroom and meeting space of approximately 750 sq m, business centre, fitness centre & swimming pool.

World Travel Award as World’s Leading Hotel Brand.
