WestJet enhances web check-in

WestJet is enhancing its web check-in feature making it easier for guests to check in online from the convenience of their own computer. By visiting westjet.com up to 24 hours before their scheduled domestic departure, guests can check in, select their seat and print their boarding pass.

“Our Web check-in product has been extremely popular with our guests since we officially launched this feature over a year ago,” said Dale Tinevez, Vice-President, Airports. “We’ve heard what our guests are telling us and are pleased to offer flexibility and convenience by increasing our Web check-in window to 24 hours.”

Guests can now select their seat from 24 hours to one hour before their domestic flight and print their boarding pass before they get to the airport. Once at the airport, all guests have to do is drop off their bags at the Self-serve check-in baggage counter and enjoy their flight.

In celebration of this improved online feature, guests can take part in the “Web Check-in Contest”. From now until the end of August, guests will automatically be entered to win when they check in online up to 24 hours prior to their scheduled domestic flight. Each check-in will equal one entry.

The grand prize includes a business traveller’s mobile kit featuring a BlackBerry 7130e handheld (mobility plan not included), Jabra FreeSpeak 250 BT headset and WestJet travel mug. Ten WestJet/Samsonite durable 1200 Nylon three-piece luggage sets will also be awarded. Full contest rules and regulations will be posted on www.westjet.com .
