Continental launches NYC-Bonaire flight
Continental Airlines will launch new flights between its New York hub at International Airport and Bonaire, Netherlands Antilles, starting Dec. 16, 2006, pending government approval. The new flight to Bonaire will depart New York/Newark at 11:55 p.m. on Saturdays, arriving in Bonaire at 5:40 a.m. on Sundays. The return flight will depart Bonaire at 7 a.m. on Sundays and will arrive in New York/Newark at 10:45 a.m.
Flights are timed conveniently to allow connections for passengers at Newark Liberty. Continental also offers weekly nonstop service to Bonaire from Houston, Texas.
Continental will utilize a Boeing 737-700 on the New York/Newark-Bonaire flights. The aircraft has 12 seats in first class and 112 in coach.
Bonaire, an island located in the southern Caribbean, is known for its pioneering role in the preservation of nature, in particular of the marine environment, and for its excellent scuba diving and windsurfing, among other activities.
Continental now serves a total of 77 destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean.
