AgentWare is entering into a hotel supply agreement with PlacesToStay.com, the online hotel reservation programme owned by Ireland’s FEXCO AllTravel. The integration of PlacestoStay.com and Trip Console is currently in beta testing and expected to be launched this summer.
Within thirty days, approximately 5,000 travel agencies across the USA, providing leisure and corporate travel services, will soon be able to access and book in real-time the availability and competitive rates of more than 20,000 properties in PlacesToStay’s online hotel inventory.
“This is a great deal with AgentWare as it puts PlacesToStay on the desktops of thousands of active agents in the U.S.,” said Tim Wright, FEXCO AllTravel’s head of distribution and business development. “With AgentWare’s focus on providing agents with seamless access to a wide range of travel products, it’s clear that this deal will extend their overall product choice and sales opportunity. After recent successes in the U.S. travel market, winning this important endorsement from AgentWare is another key step for PlacesToStay as we focus on expanding our North American market presence.”
AgentWare specializes in providing travel agents with seamless access to non-GDS product suppliers such as low-cost airlines, as well as enabling the integration of agents’ non-GDS booking technology and back-office functionality with the major GDS systems. Trip Console desktop users in the United States will immediately gain access to PlacesToStay’s comprehensive hotel inventory and booking system, while also gaining the ability to earn commission payments.
“The PlacesToStay hotel inventory fits seamlessly with the AgentWare model and its current airline inventory,” said Ivan Bekkers, CEO of AgentWare. “Both companies strive to lower distribution costs for travel suppliers and will be able to do so through the extensive inventory offerings that have resulted through this agreement.”
