Belgian airline SN Brussels wants to buy a stake in Rwanda’s flag carrier Rwandair Express, reported national dailies on Wednesday. The Rwandan government is mulling putting up to 40 percent of the airline into private hands, reported De Standaard citing company officials.

“We hope that by the end of this year to have more clarity over plans of the Rwandan government,” Michel Meyfroidt, who works for SN’s Africa network, was quoted as saying.

“If the government decides to privatise the airline, then we are certainly interested.”
