InterContinental Hong Kong is joining forces with Suzy Gershman, international shopping expert and well-known author of the Frommers “Born to Shop” books, to create the ultimate “Hong Kong shopping trip.”
Greshman, named “the world’s greatest shopper” by Amazon.com and “Super Shopper Suzy” by Oprah Winfrey, will personally escort the trip that takes place in November.  New for this year, the trip also has optional advance shopping trips to Shanghai and Beijing with stays at InterContinental Hotels in both cities.
This year Born to Shop & Spa Hong Kong is from November 12-18, 2006. Guests will be accommodated at the InterContinental Hong Kong (www.hongkong-ic.intercontinental.com), acclaimed as one of the world’s top hotels for leisure and business and voted the “Best View in the World” by the Virtuoso LuxeReport.  The hotel is renowned for its luxurious contemporary accommodations, impeccable service and world-class restaurants - including recent enhancements such as SPOON by Alain Ducasse and NOBU (opening Fall, 2006).
Each day starts off with a breakfast seminar in the Club InterContinental Lounge which will include a themed shopping talk with examples of available merchandise, plus giveaways and maps.  Each afternoon there will be a teatime “Show & Tell” from the day’s shopping excursions.

Throughout the trip, participants can sign up for “Dinners with Suzy” and optional sightseeing tours at an additional charge.  Each evening they’ll enjoy complimentary evening cocktails in the Club InterContinental Lounge.

Six nights’ harbor-view accommodations with access to the exclusive Club InterContinental (Executive Lounge) with daily buffet breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails.

A one-hour jetlag relief massage at the hotel’s I-Spa, with 30 minutes’ use of a private spa suite (with private jacuzzi, sauna and steam shower).

A special farewell dinner on November 17th at Yan Toh Heen, the hotel’s acclaimed Cantonese restaurant, renowned as one of the best Chinese restaurants in Asia.
