Air Arabia adds more flights to Bahrain

Air Arabia is adding services on the Sharjah-Bahrain sector in response to increasing customer demand. The new morning flights between Sharjah and Bahrain offer more options and convenience to business travellers at both the destinations, particularly those who make day trips.

The new flights, effective July 29, 2006, will take off from Sharjah every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 0830 hours local time, arriving in Bahrain at 0835 hours local time. The return flights depart from Bahrain at 0920 hours local time, arriving in Sharjah at 1130 hours. The regular flights to Bahrain continue as normal with a daily departure from Sharjah at 1710 UAE time and a return 1800 hours departure from Bahrain local time.

In his comments on enhanced services to Bahrain, Mr. Adel Ali, CEO of Air Arabia, said “The decision to boost our frequency on the Sharjah-Bahrain sectors follows increased customer demand in the recent past. On behalf of Air Arabia, I would like to express my appreciation to the Minister of Transportation and the Civil Aviation Affairs in Bahrain for granting us the rights for the extra frequencies. The frequency of travel between the UAE and Bahrain is on the increase and the additional flights facilitates this increase making traveling easier for people in both countries.”

He added: “The morning service will provide a major impetus to business travellers in both the countries and also more options for those traveling on holiday or to visit friends and family. We are committed to boost our customers’ travel experience, offering them more frequent and affordable direct access to Bahrain as we constantly look out to expand our network in this region.”

Current Air Arabia destinations include Aleppo and Damascus (Syria); Alexandria, Assiut, Luxor and Sharm El Sheikh (Egypt); Amman (Jordan); Astana and Almaty (Kazakhstan); Bahrain; Beirut (Lebanon); Colombo (Sri Lanka); Dammam, Jeddah and Riyadh (KSA), Doha (Qatar); Khartoum (Sudan); Kuwait; Mumbai and Nagpur (India); Muscat (Oman); Sana’a (Yemen); Sharjah (UAE) and Tehran (Iran). In May, we commenced flights to Kabul (Afghanistan), Jaipur and Kochi (India) and to Europe with Istanbul (Turkey).
