SITA pulls staff from Beirut

SITA has temporarily closed its Beirut regional
headquarters and plans to relocate staff members and their families.It will work on a phased
basis, sending staff to neighbouring countries where their safety will be assured and where they
can continue to support the company’s many airline and airport customers
throughout the region.

Hani El Assaad, SITA’s Regional Vice President, said today: “Our top priority
since the crisis broke out has been the safety and well-being of our 52 staff, none
of whom have been injured. This week we will relocate 12 key account managers to
neighbouring countries where they can continue to support our customers.”

SITA intends to relocate further staff on a voluntary phased basis to Amman,
Nicosia, Cairo and Istanbul. In the short-term, Nicosia will become a hub for SITA
activity in the region should the conflict continue.
