Press: Air France-KLM optimistic about future

French-Dutch airline Air France KLM is optimistic about the current fiscal year in spite of the rise in fuel prices and sees operating profit stable or improved at best, it told French weekly Le Revenu. “We remain optimistic in spite of the continuing rise in petrol prices and our change in status,” Air France KLM Chief Executive Pierre-Henri Gourgeon said in an interview with the weekly to be published on Friday.

“We will generate sufficient revenues to cover these additional costs (150 million euros linked to status change) and that way, maintain or increase our operating result,” he added.
