Press: BA to ask for lower airport charges

British Airways is to ask the U.K.‘s Civil Aviation Authority this week to freeze or lower landing charges at Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted airports, which poses a threat to BAA new owner Grupo Ferrovial SA, reports The Independent.
BA, BAA’s largest customer, will ask the regulator to prevent BAA from increasing charges when new price controls on the three London airports are set next year.
