British Airways will introduce an eighth daily flight between New York’s John F. Kennedy airport and London-Heathrow from December.“New York is an extremely important market for British Airways and we are delighted to be introducing an eighth daily flight from JFK,” said Robin Hayes, the airline’s executive vice president for the Americas.
“With three services from Newark, British Airways offers 11 flights from the New York metro area and provides the most comprehensive schedule between New York and London.”
The new service is effective from December 1 and will operate as follows:
—Eastbound, BA 172 will depart JFK at 8:00 a.m. and arrive at
London-Heathrow at 7:45 p.m.
—Westbound, BA 173 will depart London-Heathrow at 6:55 p.m. and
arrive at JFK at 9:35 p.m.
The new flight will operate on a Boeing 777 aircraft and will showcase the airline’s suite of products with four classes of service: FIRST, Club World (business class), World Traveller Plus (premium economy) and World Traveller (economy).
British Airways’ JFK services operate from Terminal 7 and the airline is the only foreign carrier to solely own and operate its own terminal at JFK.
Terminal 7 features a range of retail options as well as British Airways’ lounges incorporating the Concorde Room, FIRST lounge and Terraces lounge.
