Austrian confirms Iraq flight plans
Austrian Airlines Group (AUA) will stick to its plans to launch regular flights to northern Iraq, though it was still unclear when the first flight from Vienna to the Iraqi town of Erbil would be launched as this depended on the level of safety, AUA marketing director Josef Burger told APA Economic news service. Burger confirmed the group’s planned strategy to use only its own aircraft on the Iraq route. The market demand was consistently high and AUA was continuously monitoring the safety situation.
