Essential Travel steps up age limit

Travel insurance provider Essential Travel has increased its age limit to 74, in response to demand from Britain?s population of silver surfers to buy quality travel insurance online.
Essential Travel sees this as good news for the individual traveller, but also a window of opportunity for agents or intermediaries in the insurance and travel sectors.

Over 65s can now buy both single trip and annual trip cover from Essential Travel, with the option of either including or excluding baggage cover, if they are already covered for any losses arising in this area on their home insurance policy.

Cover can be purchased for UK, European and Worldwide travel and the protection limits are £5 million for medical and repatriation, £3000 for cancellation and curtailment and a host of other benefits.

Annual policies offer durations of 21, 31 or 45 days per trip, so the senior traveller can tailor the cover to suit their own specific needs.

The online purchase facility is extremely simple to use and the policy wording easy to understand, factors already making the senior citizen insurance package a highly attractive proposition when backed up by highly competitive pricing.

The age limit increase is being welcomed, by both older travellers and Essential Travel?s affinity partners. These include travel agents not wanting to go to the trouble of creating their own online quote-to-purchase website, but who can earn attractive commissions on the sale of travel insurance, working in partnership with Essential Travel.
