Flybe has reported record sales following the launch of its winter schedule earlier this week.
Total sales in one day recorded a 75% increase making it the second highest booking day ever in Flybe history and 25% higher than last years first day of the winter schedule.
The airline, which introduced a total of 13 new routes to its network has been major inroads into new marketplaces with Dusseldorf, Hannover, Amsterdam and Galway joining from the beginning of the winter schedule.
Says Mike Rutter, Chief Commercial Officer at Flybe: “This is great news for the start of the second quarter of the financial year and we hope that these initial strong sales will continue.
“The winter schedule sees us breaking into new areas of the UK and Europe and the response that we have had to these routes has been very encouraging, showing that we are delivering on our promise to respond to consumer demands and providing a low cost regional air service that spans the backbone of Britain.”
