Algarve resort opens spa & wellness centre

Vale do Lobo, the upmarket golf and beach resort in the Algarve, is opening a sumptuous new spa and wellness centre. The Royal Spa is Vale do Lobo’s first ever dedicated spa facility and has been created within the resort’s Parque do Golfe complex.

Salt, nature and water are the three elements behind its design concept, taking inspiration from the local Loule salt mines, Ria Formosa nature reserve and Atlantic Ocean.

In addition to offering beauty, massage and pampering treatments, the Royal Spa’s mission is to address each client’s individual health objectives. Weight loss, skin conditions, fitness, stress management, anti-ageing, detoxification, muscular skeletal problems and chronic illness can all be aided by the spa’s highly qualified and skilled therapists. The team of therapists is led by Paulette Poetsch, who comes to Vale do Lobo from the Chiva Som Resort in Thailand, home to one of the world’s leading spas.

Therapists specialising in different branches of spa medicine have their own treatment rooms, customised for the application of their particular therapies. Each treatment room is named after a flower indigenous to the local Algarve area. There are five serene indoor rooms, while outside under the umbrella pine trees are two wooden slatted cabins set in an Oriental-style garden where guests can enjoy outdoor massages.
