Air NZ enhances domestic in-flight service

Stylish new water bottles and the introduction of wine and beer on selected domestic flights are two enhancements being made to Air New Zealands domestic service. From Thursday, customers travelling on Air New Zealands B737 domestic flights after 4.30pm will be able to purchase a range of beverages and snacks from the airlines new Bar Onboard service.

Customers will also start receiving 300ml Air New Zealand-designed water bottles called Koru Spring, which will progressively replace the smaller 100ml water pottles on all B737 domestic services from July.

Air New Zealand Group General Manager Short Haul Airlines Norm Thompson said the new offerings marked an exciting enhancement to the airlines domestic service, and were being introduced to meet the different needs of the travelling public.

Customers on our evening flights have told us they would welcome the opportunity to buy snacks and aperitifs in addition to tea and coffee. The launch of Bar Onboard now means this after work crowd can sit back and enjoy a glass of beer or wine as an appetiser to dinner, said Mr Thompson.

Combined with the introduction of our new Koru Spring resealable water bottles, the changes we are making offer both our business and leisure customers a more comfortable and enjoyable in-flight experience.
