Air Arabia boosts GCC flights

Air Arabia is increasing services to various Gulf destinations in response to increasing customer demands for summer travel. As the first phase of its efforts to optimize its route network in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, Air Arabia has spruced up its frequency to Kuwait.

The airline is also eyeing an increase in its frequency to other GCC destinations soon.

Keeping in view the unprecedented demand for affordable travel, especially during the summer months, Air Arabia has now announced three additional morning flights to Kuwait, effective July 2, 2006. With the increased frequency, Air Arabia will now operate ten flights to Kuwait every week.

In the revised schedule to Kuwait, Air Arabia will operate flights on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday and will take off from Sharjah at 0800 hours local time, arriving in Kuwait at 0840 hours local time. The return flights depart from Kuwait at 0925 hours local time, arriving in Sharjah at 1200 hours. The regular flights to Kuwait continue as normal with a daily departure from Sharjah at 1700 UAE time and a return 1825 hours departure from Kuwait local time.

In his comments on the new additional flights to Kuwait, Mr. Adel Ali, CEO of Air Arabia, said:

“The decision to have additional frequency on the Kuwait sector follows a steady increase in traffic in the recent past. In order to cope with the higher volume of traffic, especially during the summer months, we have decided to have three additional morning flights to and from Kuwait. We are delighted to offer our customers more frequent and affordable direct access to Kuwait. As we grow in the region, we remain unswerving in our commitment to offer our services to a wider base of customers and we aim to increase the frequency to other GCC destinations soon.”

He added: ‘The approval from the authorities to our additional services is a testament of our successful operations, our unmatched quality and delivery schedules. We are confident that these additional flights will benefit both the frequent business traveller as well as provide more options for those traveling on holiday or to visit friends and family, considering that Kuwait is very well connected. We are committed to boost our customers’ travel experience as we constantly look out to expand our network and increase the frequency to our various destinations.’
