Hotel Indigo, part of the InterContinental Hotels Group brand, is offering complimentary music podcasts that are downloadable from its Web site and onto Apple iPods or MP3 players.
The podcasts, which are available at www.hotelindigo.com/podcast, feature an “eclectic mix” of full-length songs and images promoting Hotel Indigo, which will be updated four times a year.
“The seasonal podcasts present an incredible opportunity for us to connect with current and future guests at their leisure and in a way that suits their lifestyle,” said Jim Anhut, IHG senior vice president of brand development.
The podcasts are designed as a promotional vehicle for the Indigo brand as well as to entertain guests.
“The podcasts are not only for guests of the hotel, but for anyone who wants to experience Hotel Indigo while traveling or relaxing at home,” said Jeff Daniel, president, Rock River Music, the company that developed the podcasts.
There are three Hotel Indigo properties open including one in Atlanta and two in Chicago. By the end of 2006, six more will open in Dallas; Houston; Knoxville, Tenn.; Nashville; Ottawa; and Sarasota, Fla.
Plans are in the works to launch a series of customized podcasts later this year for each of the new hotels.
