Travel Trust Association (TTA) is signing an agreement with hotel reservation programme PlacesToStay.com which gives TTA members access to over 25,000 hotel properties.
PlacesToStay.com will work closely with the Association to create a dedicated section on the TTA web site, linking PlacesToStay’s inventory through an XML feed, which is used by agent members to research and book travel products.
The Association, which has around 500 independent travel agency members throughout the UK offering travel products and services from nearly 200 suppliers, was created to provide total consumer protection at lower cost through a trust account system. In the event of a member agency or a supplier failure, the consumer is fully protected.
Tim Wright, FEXCO AllTravel’s head of business development and distribution, said: “I’m delighted that PlacesToStay.com has joined the ranks of the quality travel suppliers that work with the Travel Trust Association. As well as the innovative consumer protection system, Association members have a deserved reputation for offering superior choice and value to their customers. This deal should extend that choice and value.”
Steve Clark, a director at the Association, commented: “Our members rely on us to continually improve our travel product offer and that’s just what this deal with PlacesToStay achieves. We’ll be giving members an improved choice of hotels, especially for city-centre accommodation which is PlacesToStay’s core expertise and speciality.”
