LodgeNet unveils Magnolia DVD deal

LodgeNet and Magnolia Pictures,
the distribution arm of Todd Wagner and Mark Cuban’s 2929 Entertainment,
have announced a new service for guests at hotels served with LodgeNet’s
interactive TV systems.Guests can now view a recently released Magnolia
movie in their hotel room and then order a copy of the DVD for home
delivery at a special promotional price.

Through this unique service, guests who view “One Last Thing ... ” a
movie currently playing in approximately 600,000 LodgeNet served guest
rooms and offered in high-definition (HD) in select LodgeNet hotels, will
be offered the opportunity to purchase the movie through the hotel
television immediately after viewing. Guests simply follow the purchase
instructions on screen and the DVD will be billed to the guest’s credit
card via a third party Website.

independent titles within weeks of their theatrical premieres, and now they
are helping us bring additional entertainment value by enabling travelers
to add select titles to their private DVD collections at a special low
