W Hotels opens doors in Dallas

The worlds of high style and cowboy chic collide today with the opening of the first W Hotel in Texas, the W Dallas Victory Hotel and Residences. W Hotels Worldwide, the world’s fastest growing luxury hotel brand, brings its signature Whatever/Whenever service and unique amenities to the city of Dallas, with its first residential property, offering ownership of the brand’s legendary lifestyle.

The W Dallas features 252 guestrooms and 144 one- and two-bedroom condos, Craft restaurant by world- renowned chef Tom Collichio, an outpost of Las Vegas’ renowned Ghostbar nightclub on the 33rd floor, a 5,000-square-foot bliss spa and 16th floor infinity pool and fitness facility overlooking downtown.

Located immediately across from the American Airlines Center, home of the NBA Dallas Mavericks and NHL Dallas Stars, the W Dallas is the centerpiece of a 72-acre “Victory” master development in downtown Dallas, including a plethora of high-end retail, dining and entertainment options, as well as landscaped parks and outdoor public spaces. The W Dallas’ custom rooftop heliport—a first for W—can be seen from anywhere in downtown.

Upon entering the hotel, guests will be drawn in by dramatic water features, ever-glowing walls of soft lighting and a grand staircase surrounded by art including a horse and cowboy figurines suspended from the ceiling. Oversized guestrooms will wow locals and visitors alike with Texas-sized amenities and features, from 11-foot ceilings and 42” flat-screen TVs to seven foot long W Signature featherbeds and full-size bliss bath products. Guestroom options also include suites with private terraces that put guests right in the action for concerts and game events at the American Airlines Center to the Extreme WOW Suite, which features a wall of windows providing a dramatic vista of downtown Dallas, a private terrace and a number of treats designed to WOW.

High above the glittering expanse of Dallas, ghostbar (of Las Vegas fame) on the 33rd floor of the W Dallas is a sultry and sophisticated indoor-outdoor lounge and sky deck, providing a 180-degree view of Dallas. ghostbar will feature a large glass inset in the floor offering a jaw-dropping view straight down to the ground floor, a signature element from its Las Vegas outpost.

Craft, the unique restaurant concept by award-winning chef Tom Colicchio, will be the W Dallas’ signature restaurant. The original Craft located in New York City won the James Beard Award for Best New Restaurant and has remained a constant hotspot, offering patrons the highest quality seasonal ingredients with simple preparations that accentuate the natural flavors in every dish. In addition to Craft, the W Dallas Victory will be home to Colicchio’s fast- casual restaurant concept ‘Wichcraft, offering take-out sandwiches and sweets.

The bliss spa on the 16th of the W Dallas will offer hotel guests, residents and locals signature treatments including bliss’ popular ginger rub, hangover herbie, betweeny wax and triple oxygen treatments. With over 5,000 square feet of tension-fighting facilities, nine treatment rooms, a retail boutique, movie-while-you-manicure stations and men’s and women’s lounges featuring their legendary brownie buffet, crackers and cheese and other delightful pre and post treatment treats, bliss Dallas is the brand’s seventh spa following those in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

In addition to indulgences such as specialty P.A.W. (Pets Are Welcome) amenities for guests traveling with guests and “Munchie Boxes” (W’s version of the minibar) featuring unique items like DVF emergency beauty kits in every room, W Dallas-Victory also offers its famous “Whatever/Whenever” service, guaranteeing “whatever you want, whenever you want it” 24-hours a day.
