Airbus to compensate Qantas for late A380s

Qantas Airways is set to receive compensation from French manufacturer Airbus for the late delivery of a dozen A380 super jumbos reported the Australian Associated Press.
Qantas chief executive Geoff Dixon today confirmed that the airline would be receiving compensation, under the contracts it had with Airbus.

“We’re not seeking it, we will get it,” he told AAP.

“We have contracts with Airbus that require Airbus to compensate us based on delivery timetables and many of those have been activated.”
