Opodo is unveiling its new-look dynamic packaging service across its UK, French, German and Italian sites with unique features designed to make it simple for customers to build and book their own holiday online.
Customer research was undertaken across Europe to discover the most popular destinations being booked by people looking to build their own package. The number one choice was Barcelona, followed by New York, Rome, London and Paris. In total Opodo customers can choose from over 50 of the most popular destinations
By combining a flight with a hotel and if desired, car hire and travel insurance, customers are guaranteed a price saving than if they booked the same products individually on an Opodo site. The new service utilises Opodo’s unique ‘shopping basket’ facility which allows customers to compare selected travel items before ‘checking out’ in one single transaction.
For a number of destinations the new service also allows customers to compare the price of their own ‘dynamic’ package with a pre-packaged deal to the same destination, by simply switching between the two offers.
“Europe is still very much a package holiday market with consumers buying traditional packaged holidays as well as dynamical packaged breaks via the Internet.
