EOS hits breakeven level performance

Eos Airlines has reached breakeven on a flight level basis, with June month-to-date load factors of over 70 percent.  The airline will also add a second daily flight to its New York - London schedule in September.
With the growth and expansion of Eos, the airline also announces that its Founder, David Spurlock, will now assume the responsibility of Chief Strategic Officer, handing his role of Chief Executive Officer to Executive Chairman David Pottruck.

The two executives have been working together intimately since the start of the year.  This title change reflects an evolving shift in roles and plays to each executive’s deepest experience.
Reporting to Pottruck, Evans Gebhardt joins full-time as Executive Vice President and General Manager, Consumer Business along with recently hired Toby Joseph, Executive Vice President of Global Sales.  Eilif Serck-Hanssen remains Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and Gil Morgan continues as Executive Vice President of Operations.
“Eos has reached a real critical mass in proving its business model,” said Spurlock, adding “To reach breakeven levels of performance in well under one year of operation is phenomenal. Clearly, an increasing number of discerning travelers are choosing Eos for our superior service quality and value.”
Eos has signed well over 100 corporate accounts, including seven of the top ten U.S. investment banks.  With a first-class experience at business class fares, future growth imperatives for the airline include: expanding its number of routes, continuing innovations to the customer experience that will keep current customer satisfaction and referral metrics both higher than 90%, and forging even closer working relationships with worldwide travel management companies and GDS systems.
Eos has been setting new benchmarks for the airline industry by catering to a profitable market segment (premium business travelers) and a high-volume route (between New York and London.)
In designing exclusive cabins for just 48 passengers, with the most versatile and comfortable seats in the air today, Eos is able to nurture the needs of a select number, insuring their ability to rest and revive in transit.
Each passenger enjoys 21 square feet of personal space that transforms into a multiple use area including a 6’ 6” lie-flat bed and a seat with a full-size table and companion seat.  Inflight amenities such as four-course, gourmet meals, served on demand, choice of pillows, cashmere blend blankets and a diverse in-flight entertainment system with Bose noise canceling headphones further enhance the passenger’s experience.
On-ground services that redefine typical travel by air today include curbside escort to the ticket counter and to a dedicated lounge, which also fast tracks the passenger through security.
