New appointment for Sabre, Russia

Sabre Travel Network is appointing Anastasia Lavrenyuk as the company’s commercial director in Russia.

Based in the company’s office in Moscow, Lavrenyuk will be responsible for Sabre’s commercial operations, including sales and marketing, customer support, training and technical development. This appointment comes to enhance Sabre’s commitment to strengthen its position in the Russian market and enhance further the products and services it offers to the country’s travel agency community.

“Over the last 15 months, we have sought to reinforce our position in the market by deploying the most appropriate resources within all parts of the Sabre business,” Lavrenyuk said. “Our existing infrastructure is currently being reinforced with significant investment in manpower, helpdesk, training, technical support, hardware and the latest technologies, keeping Sabre at the forefront of the fast changing trends in the industry. We are already beginning to experience the impact of these changes and I look forward to taking this success even further.”

Lavrenyuk, 36, has extensive working experience in the travel industry, including 14 years within Air France, where her latest position was business development manager in Russia and CIS.
