Singapore Changi Airport traffic is up 7%

Singapore’s Changi Airport handled more than 2.78 million passengers in May, up 6.8 percent from a year ago, aviation authorities said Tuesday. Daily passenger numbers topped 100,000 at the start of the month-long school holidays on May 27-28 and the end of the Vesak day weekend on May 14, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore and Changi Airport said in a statement.

Total passenger traffic in the January-May period totalled 13.87 million, up 9.7 percent.
