Enjoy England launches family campaign

Enjoy England today unveils its first domestic campaign aimed specifically at families - Family Fun. Ninety of England’s top family attractions are highlighted on a child-friendly foldable map and an interactive website features thousands more.

The map and website were developed following extensive research and focus groups with children and parents.

Launched in association with Heart of England Tourism to inspire families in time for the school holidays, the campaign showcases the top ten attractions in each of England’s nine regions, categorised by location and theme - Amusement Parks, Animals, Nature, Exploring & Discovery, Arts and Water. Family Fun provides hundreds of summer day trip ideas, from eye-popping theme park rides for thrill-seekers at Alton Towers or Blackpool Pleasure Beach, to mixing fact-finding with fun at the Science Museum, jousting at Warwick Castle, or discovering life on Hadrian’s Wall 1,800 years ago at Segedunum Roman Fort.

Kids will love the fold-out map that comes with stickers and a score chart to mark off and rate attractions they have visited. Colourful cartoon character Major Fun pops up on both the map and website to guide families on their own adventures.

The fully interactive website www.enjoyengland.com/family will be launched as part of the campaign, with special sections for kids and adults.

The Kids Zone will feature an interactive map, eight downloadable activity sheets, a game starring Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants, kids’ reviews and special offers.

The Parents Zone includes an accommodation search, family events listings, practical information on travelling with children, helpful links and a special offers section with ‘2for1’ and ‘Kids Go Free’ vouchers for top attractions.
