Tourist arrivals to Argentina jump 13%

Tourist arrivals in Argentina jumped 12.6 percent in the first five months of this year, compared to the same period in 2005, the government said. The Tourism Secretariat said in a report that 756,439 foreign tourists arrived at the capital’s Ezeiza airport, the country’s largest.

Tourist arrivals were up 4.9 percent year-on-year in May, due mainly to visits by tourists from other South American countries, the Tourism Secretariat said
