Air Tahiti scoops Skytrax Pacific award

Air Tahiti Nui has again scooped two of the prestigious Skytrax awards. ‘Best Airline in the Pacific Region’ and ‘Best Airline Staff’ in the Australia/Pacific region were won by the airline for the fourth consecutive year.“These awards are a tribute to our staff whose pride and passion for their home country is reflected in the warmth of the welcome they extend to our guests across three continents” said Mark Hutchinson, Air Tahiti Nui’s Director for New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

The independent World Airline Survey taken between September 2005 and May 2006 by Skytrax included over 13 million respondents from 93 nationalities who were asked to measure over 35 different aspects of passenger satisfaction for product and service standards.

“The World Airline Survey is recognised across the globe as the leading independent monitor of passenger opinions - the survey process offering the only truly worldwide project, with open and uninfluenced results. The final total of 13.61 million eligible, completed survey interviews was beyond our expectations, and we extend a very big thank you to all those customers who participated,” said Edward Plaisted, CEO Skytrax.

Air Tahiti Nui operates regular Airbus A340-300 wide-body jet services from New Zealand to Tahiti, New York, Los Angeles, Paris and Japan.
