Nagashima takes sales role at Waikiki Beach

Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa
located directly across from the best stretch of world-famous Waikiki Beach
has named Nicole Nagashima as leisure sales manager.
In this newly created position, Nagashima will be responsible for conducting
training sessions for wholesale and retail travel agents, as well as
day-to-day business with more than 25 leisure travel wholesalers in the U.S.
westbound market in order to sell high volumes of rooms in the leisure
segment.  Major customers include Pleasant Holidays, Classic Hawaii, Apple
Vacations and Happy Tours, and each provides all-inclusive vacation packages
at a competitive price.

“This is an important market segment, and we are confident that Nicole’s
support will ensure that all 1,310 rooms at Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort &
Spa will receive a significant share of the U.S. westbound leisure travel
wholesale business,” said Chris Tatum, general manager at Waikiki Beach
Marriott Resort & Spa.

Nagashima began her hospitality industry career with Marriott in 2004 as an
administrative assistant in the leisure wholesale department.  Her focus had
been on the growing portfolio of Marriott resorts in Hawaii, spanning the
three brands:  JW Marriott, Marriott and Renaissance.  Previously, she had
been with Mandara Spa as a concierge shift supervisor.

She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Travel Industry Management from
the University of Hawaii at Manoa.  She is fluent in conversational
Japanese.
