Singer heads sales at Rocco Forte Berlin

Rocco Forte Hotels has announced the appointment of Robert Singer as
Director of Sales for Hotel de Rome in Berlin, effective immediately.Currently
under development, Rocco Forte’s Hotel de Rome is scheduled to open in autumn 2006
and is situated in the heart of Berlin on Bebelplatz off Unter den Linden (one of
Berlin’s splendid boulevards) and near the Brandenburg Gate.

A German national, 41-year old Robert Singer has spent his entire working life in
the hotel industry, gaining valuable experience at all levels.  After completing a
Hotel Management programme in Hamburg, Singer travelled to London and Paris where he
worked at the Connaught Hotel and Hilton International respectively. 

From Paris, Singer returned to Germany to continue his education and after
graduating from hotel school, worked for various properties in sales and marketing,
most recently as Director of Sales at Ku’ Damm 101 Hotel, which he also launched
from pre-opening stages.  A member of the Samuel Braun Group, Singer concurrently
set up and established a central sales office in Berlin for Ku’ Damm 101 Hotel,
Hotel Savoy Berlin, Bleibtreu Berlin and Hotel Berliner Hof.  Singer is fluent in
German, English and French.

Rocco Forte’s Hotel de Rome is set to be Berlin’s top hotel, offering a winning
combination of stylish design, exceptional levels of comfort and the highest
standards of personal service.  Thanks to Berlin’s excellent transport system and
the hotel’s close proximity to Tegel International Airport, which lies only 12kms
away, Hotel de Rome is ideal for business and leisure travellers.

Hotel de Rome is one of two German properties currently under development - the
other being a Munich property scheduled to open in June 2007. A third property,
Villa Kennedy, opened in Frankfurt on 1 March 2006 making Rocco Forte Hotels the
country’s market leader with regard to luxury hotels.
