Flybe has announced a major move
into the German market with the first tranche of routes launched to the
German cities of Düsseldorf and Hannover from Southampton Airport.
This latest move is of high strategic importance to the airline as it pushes its
boundaries and continues to grow across Europe, significantly increasing its
destination base in the coming months.

Coming at a time when Germany is the focus of huge attention across the globe
thanks to the World Cup, Flybe believes the extension of its destination base will
support its steady growth in passenger numbers and will make a significant impact
on regional air travel across the UK.

Twice daily flights to Düsseldorf and a daily service to Hannover will run
throughout the winter season and with seats on sale from just £29.99 one way
including taxes and charges, Flybe will undercut competitor fares by over 50% on
both routes offering passengers a convenient, cost effective service direct from
their doorstep.

Launching on 29th October, Flybe’s service will fly passengers direct to two
of Germany’s most vibrant cities offering travellers a wealth of exciting
options for weekend city breaks, or longer more leisurely trips to explore the
delights of the regions.

With the recent upgrade of its Economy Plus service, business travellers can
benefit from the option of pre-allocated seats and access to Flybe’s executive
lounge at Southampton airport, as well as its recently launched online check-in
service.

Located on the River Rhine, Düsseldorf is a key centre for business, home to many
top telecommunication companies, trading centres and advertising headquarters.
With a tradition in arts, culture and theatre, the capital of the North
Rhine-Westphalia also has plenty to entertain the cultural traveller.

Hannover, located at the heart of the Lower Saxony region, is one of Germany’s
most interesting cities combining the history and intrigue of Hannover old town
with the lively surrounding areas home to beautiful gardens, fantastic shopping

The flights from Southampton to Düsseldorf and Hannover mark the start of Flybe’s winter schedule 2006, which will be announced in full over the following
