Delta adjusts trans-Atlantic surcharges
To help offset rising fuel costs, Delta Air Lines has raised passenger surcharges on tickets purchased on or after June 8, 2006, for travel on most trans-Atlantic flights from the Western Hemisphere. The surcharge will increase $10 each way for passengers originating their travel in the Western Hemisphere (except Canada/Mexico) to Delta’s trans-Atlantic markets. The surcharge for travel originating in Italy will increase EUR 10.
Where applicable, the surcharge will be included in the fare for air transportation services quoted in any Delta advertising, or quoted to consumers by Delta or its authorized agents. Tickets purchased prior to June 8, 2006, for trans-Atlantic travel in the future, are not affected by the changes.
