W Honolulu Diamond Head renovates

The W Honolulu Diamond Head announced that it is proceeding with major renovation plans for the hotel.The renovation plans for the W Honolulu Diamond Head include:

The addition of “SWEAT,” the W Honolulu Diamond Head’s new fitness center.  The fitness center will be approximately 910 sq. ft. in space and include and outdoor redwood deck with massage cabanas and a specially designed yoga area.


A new business center located on the 2nd floor called “WIRED.”  The new business center will offer comprehensive services for the business traveler along with high-speed internet access.


A complete makeover for The W Honolulu Diamond Head’s fine dining restaurant, Diamond Head Grill and Wonderlounge bar.


Renovations of the lobby and entryway of the hotel.

The new plans will complement the renovations of all the hotel’s guest rooms, which will include new furnishings and the addition of the W Signature Bed in each room.

“We are excited about the new plans for the W Honolulu Diamond Head,” said Keith Vieira, Senior Vice President and Director of Operations for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Hawaii.  “The renovations will provide guests even more of the ‘Whatever, Whenever’ experience they expect from a W.”

 

Anekona W, LLC, the owner of the W Honolulu Diamond Head in Waikiki, earlier announced that the company was in negotiations with a prospective buyer for the hotel.  The transaction was not completed as anticipated and Anekona W, LLC is no longer in negotiations to sell the property.  Starwood Hotels & Resorts will continue to manage the hotel as the W Honolulu Diamond Head.
